No. 3, the fashionista

Next, meet child No. 3, the fashionista. I absolutely love this girl's sense of style. When she comes downstairs each morning, it's always a treat to see what combination of clothing she has put together. She also loves to change her earrings and barrettes throughout the day to keep her accessories interesting.

I had to use the photo of her laughing because it captures her so well. She is USUALLY laughing just like this.

I loved this outfit. A pair of black leggings with a striped sweater and a colorful T-shirt over the top. That's my girl!

No. 4, the scavenger

Life around here is never dull or boring. We have this hilarious cast of characters that always keep things interesting. I thought I would introduce them and their roles with photos.

This is No. 4, the scavenger. It is very difficult to find something this baby likes to eat. Often, when we put food on her high-chair tray, she shakes her head as if to say, "I don't think so."

However, she is good at finding food in the house or convincing someone to give her something off the counter. Here she is feasting on a slice of bread.

Pitching practice

Matthew is excited that he is going to try Little League baseball for the first time this year. He and his dad went out and purchase this "pitch back" so he could work on throwing and catching.

When Matthew gets excited about something, his determination is unbelievable. It was great to see him outside all afternoon trying to improve his skills!

Coloring

My kids like to color. How can I blame them? I love to color, too! 

Today when we got home from co-op, the first thing they all did was print out a picture of Sonic and start coloring. If they aren't coloring, they are drawing pictures of Sonic and then coloring them. 

I said to them, "All you guys do is color!" Matthew replied: "Well, at least we aren't playing video games or watching TV." He's right. I won't complain about coloring any more!

This evening, we had some good friends over for pizza. At the end of the night, we looked downstairs to see this collection of Ninja-Knight-Warriors.

Don't know much about history...

We finally made it through the Middle Ages in our study of history. We are done with Vikings and Knights. We have finished the Crusades. And now we are studying the Renaissance. 

I love it when our curriculum gives us a break from our regular history books to read stories about some of the great people who lived during this time. These books are biographies of some of the most interesting people we have studies in the past few weeks: Queen Elizabeth, Michelangelo and Peter the Great.

Follow the leader

As you can see from the following photos, Jayda is absolutely starved for attention. Whether we are at co-op, church or a social function, the friends of her brothers and sisters all greet her with excited, "Jay-Jay!"s. Kids take turns holding her or pushing her in her stroller. She is like baby sister to the world.

Today, we went to home-school swim. All of the moms were cracking up when we looked over to see Jayda leading the big kids in a game of "Jayda Says."

She would stomp, touch the ground, pat her tummy or walk around, and this group of girls would follow her, doing whatever action she showed them. 

Can you say, "SPOILED!"?
